EVERY DAY OATMEAL

Who knew one bowl could contain so much magic? It took me a long time to find a breakfast that satisfied - AKA something consistent, that I would look forward to in my mornings. This oatmeal bowl has become my ritual - it is the perfect balance of salty & sweet, decadent & creamy - it'll warm your insides and keep you energized throughout the day. Every single day. It's dairy-free, gluten-free & refined sugar free to help you start your day with healthy pizzazz.


oatmeal breakfast bowl recipe

INGREDIENTS
1 serving
1/2 cup organic gluten-free old-fashion rolled oats*
1 cup of water
Handful of berries**
1 tbl of raw almond butter***
1/2 of a banana
Unsweetened coconut flakes
Drizzle of Honey****
1/2 tsp of chia seeds
Sprinkle of cinnamon
Sprinkle of sea salt
Optional: apples, walnut pieces

DIRECTIONS
1. Pour the oats into boiling water, stirring them consistently for a deliciously creamy texture 2. Add a little sea salt to oats while they cook over low heat
3. Place cooked oats in a bowl and mix in berries & chia seeds. 4. Top with banana, raw almond butter, (toasted) coconut flakes, cinnamon & honey.

*If short on time, substitute with quick oats. Same ingredient - oats are simply cut smaller to cook faster
**Blueberries + strawberries are my favorite here, or you can opt for whatever's in season!
***I use homemade almond butter, which I must say makes all the difference. Pour up to 1.5 lbs of raw almonds into a food processor and grind until creamy. That's all! Store excess in refrigerator
****If you want to make it vegan, a drizzle of maple syrup works well as a replacement
